“It can’t be, it really can’t be, only two and a half weeks until Thanksgiving!” That’s what everyone is saying. If it weren’t for the welcomed change in the weather, I wouldn’t believe it either.
If you are in a panic that it is upon us, there are options to baking for three days in advance and getting up before the break of dawn to dress the turkey and get in the oven while the rest of the family sleeps in. One of them is to treat yourself, friends and family to the buffet at Windows on the Green Restaurant at Fox Hollow Golf Club…always a favorite with many returning customers.

Throughout my career in marketing/sales, residents have approached me with the question, “what are some of the opportunities in the area for volunteering for a charitable cause?” So over the next several months, I am going to take one charity at a time, featuring the name of the organization and contact information.

Fox Hollow Golf Club has decided once again to support the Metropolitan Ministries charity this holiday season. Last year they made quite a difference with the boxes they continuously filled.
“Heart” for the Holidays will begin immediately. They will be fundraising for canned foods and new toys only. They have set some high goals for themselves but with the help of members,guests and homeowners, together they can positively impact thousands of lives.

What a great morning for a bike ride! And no better place than the Suncoast Trail, just minutes from Evergreen. This 41-mile non-motorized paved trail paralleling the parkway, opened in 2001. The Suncoast Trail is officially designated as part of Florida’s Statewide Greenways and Trails System. One trailhead is conveniently located heading east on SR 54, with entrance on left side just before passing under the Suncoast Parkway. You can’t miss it!
